Abstract

This article discusses the issue of wearing head coverings for women as written in 1 Corinthians 11:2-16, which was part of the Apostle Paul's advice to the church in Corinth. This issue was closely related to Greco-Roman culture at that time, where the head covering was a symbol of modesty, purity and respect for the husband's authority. In today's church reality, the issue of the importance of head coverings is still being discussed, especially in relation to the principles of simplicity, caution and respect in worship. This article aims to understand the meaning of theology, cultural background, and the application of these teachings in the life of modern church congregations.
