Abstract

Education has a strategic role in the church's mission service, especially in preparing leaders who are not only based on solid theology, but also have the character of Christ and sensitivity to the social and cultural context. This study aims to analyze the role of Christian religious education in supporting the church's mission in the challenging era of globalization and digitalization. Using a descriptive qualitative research method based on literature studies, this study found that education in the church's mission goes beyond formal teaching, including ongoing coaching, leadership training, evangelism, and family and community-based education. Christian religious education functions as a means of character formation, strengthening spirituality, and improving service skills, both in the church environment and the wider community. Education is also a strategic medium for instilling mission awareness from an early age, encouraging congregational participation in service, and responding to the contextual needs of the church in a creative and relevant way. Thus, Christian religious education is not only part of the church's program, but is a collective responsibility that supports the sustainability of God's mission in the midst of a dynamic world.
